Jet black ebony: The chic version of the N°08.

African ebony is a dense black wood with a velvety feel. It offers an excellent cutting quality. The safety ring allows the user to work without any risks.

Specifications
• Blade length: 8.5cm
• Sandvik stainless steel 12C27M: We use Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel. It is anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives excellent cutting edge. Blade hardness 57-58 HRC
• Mirror-finish blade: Double polish for a mirror effect
• Handle: Ebony is a rare and luxurious wood coming from the forests of Africa. Thanks to its beautiful density and deep black color, ebony is traditionally used in marquetry. To get a velvet touch, a specific wax is applied manually on each handle
• Safety ring: Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding knives from the N°06. Cut out of stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open(safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed(safety in transport)
